Minx is the HOTTEST nail trend in the industry, all of the celebrities are wearing them and love them. Minx is a flexible film nail covering that includes patterns, metallics and solid colors. There is no drying time, chipping, fumes or chemicals. Removal is simple and can be done at home. They are for women that like to stand out and be noticed. I believe that it will be around for a long time. It's a green product in the sense that there is no odor, no mixing of chemicals and no drying time. Minx comes in a variety of designs and colors over 170 different designs.

The Founders of minx have come up with this GREAT difinition for Minx Nails. "In our definition, a Minx is a sexy, confident, naughty but fun individual who lives every day like it is a big, ripe juicy APPLE ready to be bitten. We’ve channeled this cool factor into Minx, a new and glamorous way that lets women (and men!) extend fashion to their very fingertips."

Alot of my customers love Minx especially when I mix them with other designs. Such as Gels or Rock Star nails. See pictures below you can veiw more pictures on www.NailMogul.com

Nail Mogul Gel Nails

Gel Nails in Houston, Tx is becoming more and more popular. Somepeople seem to be a little confused they think that gels nails are acrylics nails. And that is not true I think those people may have been to a nail salon. Where they have been given acrylic nails with a gel shiny top coat over them. You have to be careful at some nail salons when asking for certain services. Do your research people on any service!!! Because you have nail technician that will tell you anything to make a buck. A Gel nail product looks just like a gel product it's gowey and thick.

I like to educate clients so I tell them anytime you see powder and liquid mixed together. They are giving you acrylic nails.
Nail Mogul has gels that come in a variety of colors including french (pink and white). Nail Mogul has gel nail clients from chicago and they call them "No Chipmanicure" in the chicago area. Gel Nails usually last a client about 2-3 weeks. Also depending on how hard you are on your nails, how long your nails are and the color you choose.

Nail Mogul is very helpful with helping you choose a gel nail color and the right lenght for you. View the website at www.NailMogul.com there are pictures and pricing and location information for her.

Again do your research before getting a service there are serveral search engines online and also call around to different nail salons and ask questions. It's your money and time that you are spending, spend it wisely.

Gel Nails In French

I feel so blessed I have been gaining so many clients by offering Gel Nails as a service. And I have clients that love the service, Gel Nails are such a refreshing service to offer to clients. Especially clients that want to do something other then acrylics. Because some acrylics can be really hard on a clients nails. When offer gel nails as a service you have to be careful. Because some clients that are use to wearing acrylic nails maybe to hard on there gel nails. I like to start clients like that off with very short gel nails. And let there nails grow out to a nice short length. For those clients that don't want to go short I just let them know you may have a lot of breakage and that turns into a lot of repairs and that leads to more money being spent.

Clients love the pink and white french look. And that usually last a client at least 2-3 weeks depending on how fast a clients nails grow. I also have colored gels with those they usually go 2 weeks. Gel nails is a great service to offer to clients that only want manicures.

Gel Hunt

There are soooo many gels out there that are WONDERFUL! And they all provide a little something different. I am hunting and getting a headach trying to decide which one will be best for me and my clients. I have narrowed it down to two fantastic Gel systems. One is CND and the other is Entity a new nail company that has great products. I am lookin for a gel product that will provide flexiablity for my clients and also one that levels its self. CND gel system has great viscosity. The product does not run you can place it where you need and have time to cure the product. But, CND is very thick so you will have a lot of filling to do later if you apply to much because it does not self level very well. The Entity on the other hand is great with self level and the viscosity. You don't have to chase the product and it self levels very well. So you would say ok, why not go with Entity ummmm... I know I should, but Entity does not come in the variety of white shades and pink shades....LMBO!!!.. I will have to think more about that cause Entity also has a version of gels that help cover up nail beds that may have discoloration. And some clients like for there nails to look a natural pink.

So I guess I have found the product I am going with. CND it is!!...LMBO

Gel Nails I love them they will soon replace polish. With gels they your service dries as the service goes along. Which means that by the end of the service your all dry and ready to go. A gel service should take about 15 minutes longer then a regular manicure. Gels come a variety of colors looks just like polish. Clients love gel polish because the service last longer then a regular manicure. Regular polish chips within 3-4 days even if you get a dry manicure your polish will still chip maybe after 5 days. With gels your service last at least 2 weeks. You can problem get the gel manicure to last 3 weeks depending on the color you choose. I have clients that come to see me once a month. Which is great because while they are away doing the other things they love. That gives me time to have other clients in my seat and get things done around the salon that needs to be done.

There are serveral nail companies out there that are making there own line of gels. Which one is great, depends on what you like. You have the soak offs that OPI produce, CND has a gel system which is great that one you file and buff done and fill in like a acrylic set. But, not as strong as acrylics which makes it easy to take off. Entity has a great gel system which I love it's very flexible easy to controll and manage. There are serveral off brands that may work just as well.

I feel like gels are the one of the best things that has happened to me. They are not like they use to be 11 years ago. I hated them I would tell all of my clients not to go with gels. Now the new and improved gels I would rather do those instead of acrylics. They are fun because of the variety of colors and no drying time and also flexible which means you will not have breakage like they use to break back in the day.

Well that's all I have to say right now about the gels. Oh yeah and you can make beautiful nail art with them also. I am going to close these blog if anyone has questions please feel free to send me a message.
